SILVERBACK COFFEE OF RWANDA™ supports its values by donating a percentage of its profits to organizations that
build schools in local areas and provide services to widows and orphans as a result of the genocide.
In addition, together with the Rwandan government, SILVERBACK COFFEE OF RWANDA™ will improve the quality of
care and growth of the native endangered silverback gorilla. Furthermore, our product can be traced to the
farms where it's grown, to ensure fair wages and proper treatment of workers.

Since 1985, Ruth Morris Keesling has been working at the request of the late primatologist, Dian Fossey, to ensure
the survival of the Mountain Gorilla species. Working closely with the Rwandan and Ugandan Governments, MGCF has
developed a multi-faceted approach to meeting the needs of both gorillas and the humans. In 1987 there were 248
mountain gorillas living. Thanks to the initial conservation work of Ms. Fossey and the current work of MGCF, today
there are an estimated 780 mountain gorillas in the world.
The Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund (MGCF) is dedicated to the conservation and protection of the highly
endangered Mountain Gorillas in Africa, their habitat, and working with the people around the National Parks.
